Introduction

CQU is an experienced COOP team dedicated to realistic close quarter combat as fought by law enforcement SWAT teams.

The main goal of every mission is to carry it out in a realistic, effective and elegant manner. An operation with fluid clockwork tactics that ends in mission failure is still ranked higher than one with clumsy execution but mission success.

Real-life tactics and weapon loadouts are used exclusively, which prohibit any exploitations of features that games may offer, but aren't used by real life teams.

While following commands and discipline is expected during operations, the atmosphere is very relaxed and hierarchies only exist once the team heads out since collective decisions are rarely possible on the go.

The teamleader usually plays a minor part in operations, which is compensated by reliance on an extensive amount of standard operating procedures and pre-planning.

This style demands a lot of the players. A large amount of standard operating Procedures need to be carried out without any hesitation or reflection, and requires extensive practise.

In selecting members we place heavy emphasis on maturity and patience. Being lightning fast on the trigger means nothing if you can't work as part of a team. CQU
has no room for rambos or glory seekers; we play as a team and succeed as a team.
